Every year, the team at Sqéwqel Development Corporation (SqDC) looks forward to one of our favourite traditions, the Indigenous Youth Shooting Day! It’s a day where Seabird Island youth get to have a blast (literally) learning target shooting, trap shooting, and archery, all under the expert and watchful eyes of the amazing team at the Agassiz-Harrison Rod & Gun Club.
This year’s event, held on October 11, was no different. Even though the weather tried to rain on our parade, our youth didn’t let that stop them! Youth had a fun time, new skills were learned, and everyone walked away with more confidence, and a solid understanding of firearm safety.
A huge thank you and shout-out to Dan Lagerstrom and the entire Agassiz-Harrison Rod & Gun Club team for welcoming our youth once again, sharing your knowledge, and making sure everyone left with smiles (and maybe a few new bragging rights). We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
