Sqéwqel Development Corporation (SqDC) hosted its third annual Sqéwqel Business Mixer on September 26 under the theme “Let’s Grow Together.”
This event brought together Seabird Island Band leadership, industry leaders and SqDC partners from across British Columbia and Alberta to connect, collaborate, and strengthen relationships that drive economic growth.
Hosted at Fraser River Lodge, the event featured stunning views of the river and surrounding mountains. Nigel Selvadurai (SqDC CEO) and Sally Hope (Seabird Island Chief & Council member and SqDC’s board chair) opened the evening with welcoming remarks, followed by the PK3 Jazz Trio, whose live jazz set an energetic yet relaxed tone that encouraged conversation and connection.

Throughout the night, guests enjoyed an appetizer-style dinner complemented by soft lighting, fresh greenery, and a relaxed yet elegant setting.

The Sqéwqel Business Mixer is more than an annual tradition; it’s a space for industry leaders to connect, expand their networks, and grow their ideas and businesses. We believe that by working together, we achieve more, because together, we grow.
On behalf of SqDC we want to thank everyone who joined us for this event. If you’re interested in exploring partnership opportunities with SqDC visit the Our Partners page.
