Nigel Selvadurai is no stranger to Seabird Island, and if you know him, you know we’re in good hands!

For the past year, the Sq’éwqel Development Corporation (SqDC) team has had the privilege of working alongside Nigel as our Acting CEO.

Now, we’re excited to share that Nigel has officially been appointed CEO of SqDC!

We’re looking forward to this next chapter and all the exciting opportunities ahead with him leading the way.

• Nigel worked at Seabird Island Band Office for over 15 years.
• Since 2019, he has been the Director of Finance and Administration.
• He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and is a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager.
• He also runs his real estate investment company (yep, he’s a powerhouse!).
• Fun fact: Nigel’s not just a numbers guy; he’s also a seriously good tennis player.
