Harrison Hot Springs, BC - Sqéwqel Development Corporation (SqDC), the economic arm of the Sq’éwqel (Seabird Island) First Nation, is pleased to announce the acquisition of theHarrison Hot Springs Marina. This move marks an important step in our efforts to support economic growth and create opportunities for the Seabird Island community. The Harrison Hot Springs Marina is a valued location for residents and visitors, and it is known for its scenic surroundings and recreational activities. With this purchase, Sqéwqel Development Corporation aims to improve marina operations while respecting the area's natural environment and cultural importance.

The Sqéwqel Development Corporation (SqDC) was established in 2014 to support the Seabird Island Band's economic self-sufficiency. SqDC leads business ventures and pursues new economic opportunities to create jobs and strengthen Seabird Island's economy for the benefit of its members. All initiatives are committed to honouring Stó:lō culture, traditions, and values.
